I say it first… i’m SORRY!!!
i’ve not blogged in a while and there is a reason for that… i’ve been away working, not away building a wall on the borders of Mexico like the title suggests… no… i have been away working. Working on a really cool project for Discovery Science.
So let me explain, this blog is a thing i do in my spare time – i really enjoy reading news and delivering my spin on it but i do have a full time job which is a content creator for the Discovery Channel. By content creator i mean they tell me they want something cool like a campaign created for one of their channels and i go out and make it happen.
A few months back they asked me to do something cool to help them celebrate World Science Day which is today by the way, i love science! So this was perfect… i embarked on a journey which would see me teaming up with adidas, travelling to an army barracks in the middle of nowhere in England, going up 10,000 feet in a plane filming professional skydivers and spending endless nights editing all this material i’ve been filming.
One of the idea was to film a skydive in Virtual Reality… which was pretty cool we got to work with some the British Army who lent us some of their professional army parachuters. I was directing this shoot which would be a 360 video for the web and social platforms but also a 2D advert for the actual channel – it went without a hitch which was great given that so many things was standing in our way, like the weather and as you all know… England is not exactly reliable for its weather but the day was sunny and the sky was blue. We also interviewed some cool YouTubers like Yogscast, inventor Colin Furze and Football YouTubers Copa 90.
Any way to cut this short… i am back, ill be uploading regularly like i did in the beginning and i’ve added this page so if work does get crazy you won’t miss out on what i’m doing… in fact i work on some really cool projects and travel to some crazy places so might be entertaining for you… or not but if not just don’t comment 😉 I’ll leave you with the 360 video that we created and i have to say i’m pretty proud of it.
