This 63 year old grandmother, Cheryl Cheatham has recently been arrested as she was trying to smuggle $500K worth of cocaine from Las Vegas to Detroit…
Cheatham was spotted behaving suspiciously at the luggage carousel at Detroit’s Metro Airport, appearing to be on the lookout for luggage that did not belong to her. Federal agents trailed Cheatham, believing she was attempting a major drug hand-off. Their suspicion heightened after she went to a hotel, but instead of checking in, was picked up by a chauffeured SUV, still toting her luggage.
After a search during which a drug-sniffing dog named Otto alerted, she was arrested, Cheatham made her one designated phone call to who she said was her daughter, but her phone contact read “Loverboy.” Loverboy’s phone number did not match the number on record for Cheatham’s daughter.
Her defence team claim Cheatham suffers from bipolar and schizophrenia and committed the crime while she was off her medication. However Cheatham has a history being on the wrong side of the law with shoplifting convictions, selling and possessing drugs, and failing to appear in court seven times.
Well if you can’t trust a granny who can you trust?
